Speakers and facilitators

Tuija Kopra, AgroFair Benelux BV, Area manager Nordic & Baltic. Tuija has background in business (Ms. Econ) and has previously been involved in dental medical business for twelve years. Now she is responsible for AgroFair's actions in her area, mainly doing marketing and customer relatioships.

Anni Penttinen is an environmental economist currently working as a researcher at the University of Helsinki, Finland. She has studied farmer household welfare poverty, land improvement investments and environmental consequences of farming in developing countries. She has interviewed hundreds of farmer households during her fieldwork in several Central American countries. In addition she is a City Councillor and member of the City Planning and Zoning Board in her home town Espoo.

Pirjo Virtaintorppa is a Product Category Manager and Deputy Director of Association for Promoting Fairtrade in Finland. She started her career in Fairtrade with launching Fairtrade cotton in Finland. Her main duties in Fairtrade Finland consist of business relationships with the licensees, retailers and other partners. She is responsible for new products and product development in Finland. She is also a member of FLO's Textile Working Group.

Anastasia Laitila is a 28-year-old activist and a Bachelor of Social Services. For the past decade she has been involved in environmental and developmental issues in different NGOs, especially in Friends of the Earth and the World Shops. In Friends of the Earth she has worked previously on trade issues, and in the World Shops she has focused on awareness raising through our Fair trade magazine. She has visited India several times mostly in connection to development issues, and is interested in bringing environment and development debates together.

Ragnhild Nilsen

Cand.Musicol. M.A. is the writer of 12 books - last book "The pearldiver". She is a leader and partner of CoachTeam business consultancy and CEO and founder of GlobalFairTrade - clean cotton revolution!
